Don't know if any of you heard the Sunday night NFL crew with Herm Edwards and Tom Jackson talking about the Chiefs. Some very interesting stuff.
They seem to think the plays that are being called are not the plays Alex Smith is running. All on the program think he is continuing to check down on every pass play and take the very safest option.
Said they saw KC receivers running open yesterday on multiple plays and Smith on every play attempted to thrown the ball underneath.
Jackson said QB's today are being paid on protecting the ball and completion rate and they believe Alex has his own agenda. Also pointed out with the loss of Charles if the Chiefs don't start stretching the field with Maclin and Kelse that it is going to be a very long season.
They also commented the Oline was not the best for the Chiefs, but you could not pin the lack of production from the Wide Receiver position on them for the last two years. That came from behind the line of scrimmage.
