I went to Chipotle last night, stood in line for 20-25 minutes, only to find out they are currently not serving pork. I asked why. The gal behind the glass tells me, "Because the pork farmers aren't treating the pork humanely." I'm sure she meant pigs/swine, but I figured why correct her since she's an adult, non-Latina working the burrito assembly line at a quick service restaurant. Probably a lost cause. So I'm in the middle of a five person order and this really threw me off my game, so I ask, "Who gives a shitt? Do you just have some regular pork. I only eat here because it tastes good. They kill the pigs anyway, so why does it matter if there's one too many in the pig pen?" The blank stare went on for more than a few seconds, so I swapped all the pork orders to something else, knowing the family was going to hate me for it since I don't know shitt about what they actually like or don't like outside of what they write down for me. This prompts an important question:
Seriously, does anyone actually eat at Chipotle because of this bullshit claim that they won't serve food grown using stimulants or hormone therapy, or if the animals' living situation isn't luxury enough?
It will surprise none of you that I don't think a thing of it. Ever. The pigs are breeded and birthed to do nothing more than become my lunch, so fukc right off with this, "There's a pork shortage," crap. Last year they did this same thing with their steak offering, but they still served it by putting up "warning" signs that the beef was "conventionally raised" rather than "grass fed." WTF does that even mean? You're dinner. These assholes who maybe care about that then load on guac, cheese, sour cream, hot sauce and wrap it in a flour tortilla. Clearly they don't give two shitts about their own health. So in doing some research about this after I got home, I learned they were able to locate some suppliers last year who refused to do the "grass fed" mularkey, but met Chipotle's humaneness standard. They therefore went ahead and served it. Apparently there are no pig farmers who raise pigs to Chipotle's haughty standards (b.s. like must spend a certain number of hours per day outside, must have a certain square footage per pig when inside, etc.). Stupidity. This ain't man's best friend. We're going to eat them. They get to eat and drink their asses off and fukc 'til their balls are shrunk to the size of BBs. That doesn't suck. Now get them on my plate.

Huff Post: Less than 5% of animal farms meet Chipotle's standards (it's an unsustainable model if Chipotle grows at its proposed pace)
My final comment is that goody two-shoes survey respondents will say they choose Chipotle in part because of their policies in this realm, but if their prices go up to $10 per burrito, which it's approaching, then that shitt will stop right quick.
