Looks like everyone thinks like me on yet another topic, as only 15% of orders at Chipotle since the queso launch have actually included queso. Same store traffic dropped dramatically after the first week of "curiosity customers." Chipotle wants to roll out nachos in a bad way, however, they know they can't until customers actually want to eat the queso.

Since Chipotle is rolling out this new recipe in secret, which is fukcing dumb, it's hard to say when each store will get it. I'm not going to be ordering a $5 cup of cheese if it's the same gruel I had last time. The store associates will lie to you because they've been told to. I flat out asked one of them about the queso and she told me, "Oh, we sell it like crazy." I told her there's no way it sells like crazy because it tastes like ballpark cheese with a box of baking soda poured into it. It was just me in the store at the time and the manager wasn't around, so she admitted they are told to tell everyone that it's really good and that they sell gallons of it.

Chipotle should admit their initial failure, roll out the new recipe publicly, slash the price on it at go live, and get guests back in their stores to try the new queso and get their feedback. It's these type of childish, bullshit games that have Chipotle's stock down 60% since 2015 and their founder & CEO on the street.
