At least it is at our house. Already up and cooking.
What's on your menu?
Tonight before church: Pork tenderloin, Crystal Lake potatoes, minted carrots and brownies topped with peppermint ice cream, hot fudge sauce, whipped cream and peppermint sprinkles. Lots of wine.
After church: Peppermint Martinis.
Christmas morning: Gooey Butter Coffee Cake while opening presents with spiked egg nog. After presents, my grandfather's special pancakes. Coffee with Kahlua.
Christmas Day: A serve-yourself buffet throughout the day with hamburger soup, hammie sammies, Nachos Navidad, cherry salsa rollups, trays full of my homemade cookies and a veggie plate just for good nutritionally balance. Felix Navidad Martinis.
And this year, during the Chiefs' game: Shrimp cocktail and what ever is left over on the buffet and bar.
