Watching this again for the 10th time. I know the back up QB is always the fan's favorite player, but watching this again, Mauk really needs to take a big step forward from last year in terms of accuracy,consistency and decision making. If he has some of these inconsistent streaks like last year, there are 1) gonna be some very loud grumblings from fans (here especially) and 2) there are probably at least two very competent guys looking over his shoulder giving the staff an actual alternative they didn't really have last year.
I'm a big Maty fan and I know he's got some personal stuff he's dealing with as well, so I am really pulling for him to seize this role early and shutdown any questions about the position.
