Good, solid win. Not super flashy, won't impress the people who don't follow closely and just see it's a directional Kentucky school, but this is a good win, especially for the second game of the season.
Missouri has done exactly what you'd like to see through two games.
Jeremiah Tilmon is acting like a guy who is the focal point of a team. he's matured, he seems like a leader, he's avoiding whistles so far. Like what I've seen.
More impressed with Xavier Pinson than I expected to be.
WAY more impressed with Mitchell Smith than I expected to be.
Off night for Dru Smith. I don't think he'll have many nights that bad.
Kobe Brown is college ready. Will make some mistakes, but he's a contributor right away. Tray Jackson isn't there yet.
Best sign I've seen: Cuonzo has a rotation set. We'll see the same starting lineup most of the year I bet. We aren't seeing 3 subs before the first TV timeout. Guys aren't going in and out of the lineup with reckless abandon. I think it means Cuonzo knows what he has and is comfortable with his team. We'll see if I'm right.
FIrst big test Tuesday. I don't know if Missouri is ready to win a game at Xavier. I want to see them give it a go. What I don't want to see is what we saw in the first road game at Utah two years ago. Let's see them go fight a ranked team on the road. They do that and I'll be ready to believe this team is a lot closer to what we think it is than what the national people think it is.
