They were 1-5. They are now 6-5. There are no negatives. I'm not sure I've ever seen a team so completely dead and buried turn it around like this. I mean, it doesn't enter your head they might lose. Sure, they aren't playing Georgia and Auburn, but I think this team has a legitimate claim that RIGHT NOW they're the fifth best team in the SEC. How about that? Who saw that coming?
Here's what really sticks out to me: Look at all the guys making plays for this team that we wouldn't have expected. Adam Sparks, Larry Rountree, Tre Williams, Chris Turner, Brandon Lee, Tucker McCann, Joshuah Bledsoe. Are these guys before the season you would have expected to have big roles? If so, good on you. But they're all playing and playing well.
This was a dominating win (at least for 45 of the 60 minutes). The goal from the start was a bowl game. They're there. Now the goal is eight wins. I'm pretty confident they'll get seven. We'll see who they play for eight.
Also, I'm told on Monday there's going to be another scheduling announcement that will be of interest. I don't know who it is, but I'll pass it on when I do know.
Finally, because I hope most people will read this thread: There is no press conference to address Michael Porter Jr.'s injury situation tomorrow. He has not been ruled out for the season. Absolutely nothing has changed since we did this yesterday. Or the day before that. Or the one before that. When something changes, you'll know. I doubt he plays Monday. We'll see after that. But I wouldn't change or back off anything I've posted here on the situation.
