I came here to cover two basketball games and yet it ended up not really being about basketball games. We've written everything we can write and covered every angle on the NCAA decision. I don't have anything left to say.

On the basketball, I watched the same game twice. Neither one was very good. You just can't bury yourself against a good team and it's a consistent problem. It's not one thing. It's bad offense, bad defense, bad luck. It's just bad basketball. You see what they could be in middle 25 minutes or so but they don't start well and they haven't finished well and because of it they're 4-3 and the season isn't over but I have a hard time seeing the path to the tournament as we sit here tonight. Long way to go and it's possible. I don't think they're gonna trail every game against a decent team 15-3. But until they actually don't do it, it's a problem.

We've had 17 stories in the last two days. If you missed anything, go here and catch up.

I'll have the and one and a mailbag tomorrow. We'll do our usual football previews on Thursday and Friday and Mitchell will be in Little Rock. And I wouldn't log off after that because there's a pretty good chance the next few weeks are going to be rather interesting around here.

I hope you all get a chance to spend the holiday with family and have some time to think about something that makes you happier than Mizzou sports probably does right now. I'm gonna try to stay awake on I70 for a couple hours.
