When we were limping through the early HCGP years, and many wanted that MAC coach gone, I preached patience (you can ask my wife—she hated me for it) as we were getting better, AND the coaching staff also has a learning curve to work through. Folks, even SEC coaches make mistakes, learn from them, and get better Week-to-week, year-to-year. This is not a static thing. If we’re honest, we experienced that w/HCGP. Now, I think we are seeing this w/HCBO and OCDD. Winning is hard—especially winning in the SEC. Our old buddy KK even says that, if we were still in the old league, we’d be tearing it up this year. I was a student in the late Powers, Widenhoefer, Stull years. Please, don’t start a coaching carousel. Keep and support a good coach and good man who grows and learns from mistakes and whose players show improvement. We’ll get where we want to be—and even catch lightning in a bottle again.
