see Strong, Charlie, who has shuffled responsibilities on his offensive staff after one (albeit a dreadful one) loss. Last year Derek Mason yanked his starting QB in the second quarter. That went well.
My point is this: these coaches and teams spent 15 practices in the spring, an entire offseason of conditioning and 20 practices in the fall to formulate their depth charts and mold their teams. That should not be outweighed by a single game, pretty much regardless of the outcome. You start yanking kids after week one (or demoting coaches) and chances are much more likely than not you will alienate people in your locker room and lose control of your organization.
I know not many are asking for significant changes, though some have at QB and OL. Gary Pinkel isn't going to do this after a single game and neither is any coach who knows what he is doing and has faith in his coaches and players.
Just something to chew on which I thought about after listening to the ESPN CFB podcast today
