@GabeD I know you'll never call for a coach's job. But you do start preparing items in case situations arise. Are you starting to put together your hot board?
Here's a preliminary list:
I know you've mentioned they'll either be looking for a G5 HC, a P5 Coordinator, or a P5 HC that doesn't have a ton of job stability (usually due to unreasonable expectations).
Edit: This isn't a list of who I want.
I literally went through the list and found every G5 HC, and P5 Coordinator who's not 65+ that have better win percentages than Barry Odom. And a few P5 Head Coaches that might be available and have better win percentages than him.
These are those that fit the bill (with at least a few seasons under their belts):
G5 Head Coaches
Mike Norvell, Memphis
Bryan Harsin, Boise State
Jeff Tedford, Fresno State
Josh Heupel, UCF
Bill Clark, UAB
Skip Holtz, LA Tech
Doc Holliday, Marshall
Blake Anderson, Arkansas State
Lane Kiffin, FAU
Sonny Dykes, SMU
Charlie Strong, South Florida
Luke Fickell, Cincinnati
Jason Candle, Toledo
P5 Coordinators
Steve Sarkisian, OC Bama
Cale Gundy, OC Oklahoma
Graham Harrell, USC
Chip Long, OC Notre Dame
Mike Yurich, OC Ohio State
Steve Ensminger, OC LSU
Marcus Arroyo, OC Oregon
Ricky Rahne, OC Penn State
Joe Rudolph, OC Wisconsin
Alex Grinch, DC Oklahoma
Todd Grantham, DC Florida
Brent Venables, DC Clemson
Dave Aranda, DC LSU
Chad Glasgow, DC TCU
Brent Pry, DC Penn State
P5 Head Coach Long Shots
Gus Malzahn, Auburn
Chris Peterson, Washington
Clay Helton, USC
P.J. Fleck, Minnesota
Pat Fitzgerald, Northwestern
Pat Narduzzi, Pitt
Mike Leach, Wazzu
