Didn't realize until I watched the open this morning. It was Joe Kleine, from Slater, Missouri, where he set Missouri prep records in 1980. Kleine chose Notre Dame over Mizzou and many other offers. Ironically, during the state HS basketball tournament, Mizzou beat Notre Dame in the NCAA tournament. After one year at ND, Kleine transferred to arKansas, played in the Olympics and had a solid NBA career.

After the little football interlude with Coach Drinkwitz, he mentioned knowing Coach while they were both coaching in arKansas' and referred to his success in Division 2?

Kleine now owns a BBQ restaurant in Little Rock.
