Yesterday there was nothing close to the 51,000 or whatever announced as attendance in the stands.
I have a seat about 40 rows up between 45 and 50 and felt like had a private box..nobody in front of me two rows for 8 seats abreast for whole game..2 seats on either side of ours empty..2 out of 6 seats behind us occupied. After the half.. Half of previous occupants back. By mid 4th quarter I had section j and I to call my own.
I suspect Vandy and Arky will be worse. Nobody can convince me that last season's debacle and inept performance did not start this...hell even Ga game before we knew we were terrible was sparsely attended..but combine that with an uncompetitive season against a single p5 team and a good chance of going 0fer in the SEC ..Houston we have a problem. back to back terrible seasons..keep in mind winning 5 games when you pay three of them is not great. Can't imagine that people that are not attending will continue TSF and season tickets in same or increasing #s. Cost of 350 $ or more for two nights hotel..travel expense ..all the games are on TV that you can turn away from when gets ugly or tape and use a beautiful fall afternoon for another purpose..nearly 4 hour games due to TV timeouts and style of play.
It is on a downward trajectory..and I am an idiot that is traveling to SC and Tenn games and will likely be there for Vandy and Arky .. Was there for LSU with many others. I suspect that will change next year for many tiger fans.
