He's had a rough couple of years at DeSmet getting his program off the ground. They started off the year with an impressive 37-2 win over Hazelwood Central tonight. Hope this is a transformative year for him and his career. Former Central AD and coach John Pukala is now AD and on staff at DeSmet and is acting as a mentor for Coach Steeples which is a good thing. After how poorly the administration treated John at Central I'm sure tonight's win was extra sweet for him.
