From what I've read, the contract is extended 1 additional year (so goes from 6 year to a 7 year deal) and a $100,000 increase to his base salary each year progressively (so additional $100K next year, $200K additional the year after next, etc. up to an additional $700K in final year) if the team wins 8 games or a bowl game in the first 2 seasons of being the head coach at Missouri.
Now that seems very wordy but I think I understand it. My question is what will Sterk and the administration do about year 1 ? Winning 8 games was almost impossible. And now the bowl game might not happen.
