So I saw the headline and cringed a little....then I went on to read the article. We obviously can't communicate tone via the story, but I would conclude, based on the actions of the judge in the rest of the article, that her tone was truly about discussion. She obviously carries some opinions and attitudes about where things are in this country regarding race....but I would contend her thoughts and opinions are consistent with a majority of caucasians regarding racial opinions. She probably could have communicated some terms without dropping the hard "R", but if it's truly in a discussion based forum, I'm ok with the term being stated. And then she was cancelled. I think I'm pretty in tune with white people....and the varying views regarding race within the white segment. I'd bet her views are consistent with at least 75% of white people. Thoughts? And once again....usually all fun and games in the OT, but I'm hoping we can have an adult discussion.
