We'll start with our Sunday links for those who haven't yet seen them:
Facebook live chat replay (this will now be a weekly thing at 8 pm Central on Sundays)
Mizzou and in-state 4/5 star recruiting
Mizzou and 3-star or less in-state recruiting
Links from this morning:
Film Room: Aubrey Miller
Newcomer Q&A: Brendan Scales
Other than that, the only thing we've got right now is that we expect there is resolution to the Ehren Earleywine situation this week or next. We fully expect Earleywine to stay. But as for exactly when and who will announce it, who knows? We don't really get the feeling Missouri is waiting for Jim Sterk to have any real input on the decision, but maybe they're waiting for him to announce it. I don't know really.
Over the weekend, by now I'm sure you know Tony Adams and Larry Boyd both committed to Illinois. The Tigers certainly wanted both, both are losses. Also in football recruiting, Tennessee OL Obinna Eze, who got Missouri fans all fired up when he talked about wanting to visit earlier this summer, is committing somewhere today. It is almost certainly not Missouri. We told you at the time to hold the enthusiasm until the visit actually materialized and it appears it never did.
In hoops, we can tell you that Jordan McCabe released his top group of schools on Sunday and will be making a commitment at 6 pm tonight.
Missouri is in the top six along with West Virginia, Minnesota, DePaul, Green Bay and Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Don't have a real feel for this one other than saying we'd still be a bit surprised to see Mizzou land early commitments with everything going on. But we'll be tuned in at 6.
1037 UPDATE
Will post some stuff here from player availability:
Chris Black said he is healthy and full go now. He said Dimetrios Mason really stuck out to him in the scrimmage. Said he reminds Black of himself as a freshman coming in.
Donavin Newsom said Cale Garrett "just came in rolling. He's been stacking practices" all camp. Plenty ready to say Garrett is going to play this year.
Aarion Penton said with TJ Warren out, John Gibson has gotten most of the first team reps. I asked him about Marvin Zanders improvement as a passer and Penton said he has matured a lot, seems much less nervous and jittery
Rickey Hatley singled out Spencer Williams on the DL and Paul Adams and Kevin Pendleton on the OL as playing well. Said that Heupel's offense moves so quickly there are times the defense is scrambling to get play calls in
Sean Culkin said Albert O and Brendan Scales are both over 250 and physically ready to play
7:58 PM UPDATE
Sorry, guys, been a busy day, we fell down on updating this. Here's some stuff from the afternoon/evening
*Jordan McCabe moved his commitment to tomorrow. As Alex Schiffer said, it isn't Mizzou, so no real reason to follow it.
*Received some more information today that Tony Adams and Larry Boyd both shocked almost everyone with their pledges to Illinois this weekend. Blindsided a lot of people, including some that are very close to them.
*Pete had the 3-2-1, a quick report on fall camp
*We talked to Barry Odom, Josh Heupel and DeMontie Cross after practice
*Odom said that Trevon Walters has been dismissed from the team after his arrest last week
*Also, an injury update after the workout
We will update this post throughout the day as necessary.
