A few recruiting notes to get you started.
*Schiffer talked to Mizzou commitment Case Cook and will have an update on him later this morning.
*We've confirmed two unofficial visitors for this weekend, both 2018 kids. Tyrik Henderson, a defensive back from Carol Stream, IL will be here with his family. Another Illinois prospect, four-star wide receiver Micah Jones told Brian he will be visiting as well.
Don't know a ton about Jones right now. He's more of a new name for me. I've been in touch with Henderson quite a few times since he came to Night at the Zou in July. He's always gotten right back to me and seemed to be pretty fired up about getting a Mizzou offer. I don't foresee an out of state 2018 kid committing this early (although they do already have one from Louisiana in that class), but I think the Tigers are in really good standing with Henderson. We'll be talking with him after the trip. Again, I don't expect it to happen this weekend (but it wouldn't completely shock me), but Henderson's a guy I could easily see on the Mizzou commit list down the road.
*Only hoops news is that recent offer Clyde Trapp Jr. released his top five last night and Mizzou was not included.
We had expected Trapp to visit, based on what we'd heard, but obviously it doesn't look like that will happen now.
