A little bit of good news -
We are fifth in the nation in defensive points per game.
I am as worried as the next guy about the offense, but most teams would love to be 3-0 with the fifth best scoring defense in the country.
Northwestern - 5.3 (Stanford, Eastern Illinois, Duke)
Boston College - 5.7 (Maine, Howard, Florida State)
West Virginia - 8.5 (Georgia Southern, Liberty)
Duke - 8.7 (Tulane, North Carolina Central, Northwestern)
Mizzou - 9.7 (SEMO, Arkansas St, UConn)
Also, we are giving up 214 total yards per game. I am not going to do the math and the stats for today haven't posted yet on ESPN, but I think that is good for second in the nation behind Boston College (who has played two FCS opponents and held them both under 100 total yards. BC held Howard to 11 total yard and held Florida State to 217 total yards, so I think they are probably not a fluke.)
2nd in total defense, 4th in scoring defense, 3-0 record. Let's keep that in mind, get the offense fixed, and hopefully win some games.
