Mario Williams said on his way out of Buffalo that Rex Ryans defense was to compled. Marcell Darius said after Ryan was fired; the same thing, too many moving parts, no identity. Both said they liked playing under Schwartz and pinning their ears back, just attacking.
Rex Ryan is a hell of a DC and he will get on somewhere as just that. I've heard numerous talking heads say that specialists cant be successfull headcoaches because a head coach can no longer just focus on one thing.
So that got me thinking. Not every player can play in every system. As much defensive talent as we had (upfront) it should have worked but it didn't. So knowing this isnt a young player thing, its a best of the best thing as well. Shouldn't BO be changing his philosophy back to what worked under the previous regime? Clearly this 'nfl' style isnt for everyone and even when you lool at Bamas now NFL players on defense. Who stands out, maybe Collins, maybe CJ Mosley....after that can you name anyone else (Darius)?
So heres to Barry getting back to what works at all levels and not hanging himself.
