I'm generally bearish on cfb in the northeast but Delaware is a state flagship with a strong football pedigree (they are playing in the 2nd round of the FCS playoffs this weekend) and located in a good spot for the region, being close enough to Philadelphia and DC/Baltimore to effectively recruit both areas.
C-USA will have 11 football playing members with this move, and there is speculation that UMass/UConn or another FCS mover like Tarleton State might be the 12th. Also worth noting: Delaware is the first callup to pay the increased NCAA reclassification fee of $5 million.
