It's been fun to watch the pain and gnashing of teeth by the democrats and their shocked media enablers.

A couple things are obvious. The party has gone far left and won't be recovering anytime soon.

The 20 election was the first time the democrat primary voters were ready for a socialist, though in 16 the dems did a lot to help Hillary and hurt Sanders. In 20 the cast of characters in dem primary were far left with the exception of an old man with early dementia and Tulsi. As a preview of what was to come one of debate mods asked "By a show of hands how many of you support free medical care for illegal aliens ". Everyone's hand went up except Joe.. he looked to his right, then his left and then slowly raised it, more like slightly bending it at the elbow, with the uncomfortableness of a whore in church.

The old guard led by the octogenarian black congressman after crushing defeats for Biden in Iowa and New Hampshire rallied around Joe and badgered/bribed various liberals to quit early and endorse Biden to stop Bernie. As a consequence Biden had to agree to being a figurehead (he was mentally incapable of being in charge regardless) .

The screwing of Bernie worked a second time to save dems from nominating a socialist and going to defeat in general. It worked given the unusual circumstances of 20. The left got their complete agenda pushed and much of it passed. It resulted in their defeat.

Now they are up a creek, no paddle aboard.
Obama who helped orchestrated the coup and thought he was an iconic mover and shaker, is only a historical figure along with his nagging wife, Hillary, Bill, Warren, Nasty Nancy, and Schumer. There is no figure in the house or senate in leadership that appeals to the democrat base and far less to electorate .

Their base is younger and farther left. AOC is more representative of what's left than any of the above. She's kind of the new Bernie. She has the megaphone for the left.

Harris is done, Walz is overdone, Newsom seems to be a retread older Cali lib that won't appeal to the Bernie/AOC active left. Gretchen Whitmer is done, Dems don't like Jews and Pennsylvania governor isnt left enough so Shapiro is out.

Looks to me you will be down to AOC, Mayor Pete or Wes Moore . Oh there will be the rich governors of Illinois and New Jersey trying to elbow their way in as well as Kentucky's current governor. The former are too old for current left and the latter not left enough.

As long as there is no depression, it would appear that the democrat party will be smaller and farher left in 2028. Better start sending your donations to AOC now. :)
