First, you have to admit we pulled a jayhawk by hiring Porter Sr as an assistant to get MPJ to sign with Mizzou.
I believe we are paying him a ton of money to "coach," likely more than his coaching skills are actually worth.
I can't imagine it was always the plan to have Porter Jr sit out this season while dad collected a fat check, developing his body for the draft next year while avoiding injury. But is it possible? Also, Jontay gets to hone is skills in a D-1 program rather than in a high school gymnasium. The current situation certainly seems to be working out very well for them.
Finally, when MPJ suits up and plays in a game, is he going to be a team player? Or is it going to be an audition for the NBA?
I am expecting a great deal of criticism for this post, btw.
