Question: What's on a lot of fans minds is a doctor's appointment in Dallas today. Is it possible we could know something about being cleared to practice by 5 oclock today?
"I don't know. It's really what the doctor says...I don't knwo if you say okay you're cleared to play when you haven't practiced. I think the next step is non-contact and then see how that goes, but I don't know if it's just say cleared to play if you haven't been on the floor and anything live contact. I've been around a lot of injuries so I would imagine there's steps to it. I don't see him live contact tomorrow. No I don't."
But you could get word today, he's there today, correct?
"Yes, you could get word today saying..."
Saying what?
"I guess he's cleared to go through non contact stuff."
You don't think there's any chance he could be on the floor saturday?
"Not at all. Not at all. Not at all. Not at all."
Do you think Tuesday's a possibility if he got positive news from this medical report?
"I'd be shocked."
The best case scenario would be the following Saturday?
"I couldn't answer that. Cause you've got to go through it. Youv'e got to go through it. I mean think about it, you went from November the 10th, which was last practice, five on five up and down contact. Now all of a sudden here we are February 15th and you just step on the floor and play? You have to go through something in order to get to that point and see how it feels. You haven't been in any practices to see how it's going to go?"
I don't read that as Cuonzo confirming necessarily that he's there. Maybe I'm reading it wrong. Frank asked the question with the premise Mike was at the doctor in Dallas today. I don't 100% know if the kid's appointment was today at this point.
