We lost the game, don’t get me wrong. I don’t think there is any reason to dish out blame on anyone.

Yes, Cook’s first INT was the deciding factor in the game. I don’t think that INT shows that he can’t get it done in a big game.

We were told all week that we were a nice story, but Georgia was on a different level than us. I don’t believe that is the case. We went into Athens, GA and matched everything that Georgia had. Total yards Mizzou: 363 Georgia: 385. First downs Mizzou: 21 Georgia: 21. Yards per pass Mizzou: 7.1 Georgia: 7.9. Yards per carry Mizzou: 4.4 Georgia: 4.0. Total penalty yards Mizzou: 49 Georgia: 55

This wasn’t a game where we lucked into hanging around the best team in the country for the last 3 years. We forced 0 turnovers. Had no special teams plays that changed the momentum of the game. We matched them at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. Our skill positions went to toe with Georgia’s all night long.

It sucks, but this is a team right up there with the best in the country. We’ve been told all week that we don’t have the horses to match Georgia. We showed tonight that we do. Anyone that would doubt our team after today is based off their own slanted preconceived notions.

This team is fun to watch and I can’t wait to watch the remainder of this season. MIZ!
