As we make our way to Columbia to have a few special days with Lucas before he leaves for the chance of a lifetime, I am finding myself a little more emotional than I thought I would be at this time.
Biggest question.....where will he ends up? As a parent it has been very hard to accept that I have no control over what happens with his future. I have e been in his corner pushing him for 23 years, now it is over. I am almost ready to accept that. Lol
The next question.....is he mentally tough enough to make it through a cut and not get too discouraged? He has never failed at anything in his life....that may change.
Finally....how are we going to handle him possibly being 1000 miles away? NOT VERY WELL! Lol
But seriously, he is getting ready to experience what many many people have only dreamed of and he knows he is blessed.
