Coming out of high school I really thought he was a huge get, then he went to the elite 11 and performed great, so I was really really high on him. He got thrown into the mix last year when he shouldn't have been and I think it damaged him a bit. I think the biggest thing I've taken away from listening to his interviews and talking about the offseason is his lack of football knowledge. I think he's the perfect example of a kid that was able to get by in high school just off of his big arm and athleticism and never really learned the position. His problem is in his head, I truly think he's a much more physically gifted qb than Bently from SC but it's obvious Bently is mentally ahead of Lock. He doesn't go through any progressions picks a wr before the snap and stays with them. I still have hope for Drew and think Heupel can get him coached up but I think they should be leaning on the running game and let Drew be an Alex Smith/manager so to speak.
