Not sure if this is any big deal or not...but it is interesting to note that the critical comments from the Association came from the spouse of a fomer Mizzou Softball Coach who was fired at Mizzou after the 2002 season. Coincidence?
“These repeated episodes of unprofessionalism only hurt the profession of fastpitch softball coaching and set a bad example for our student-athletes,” said NCFA executive director Lacy Lee Baker. “This was apparent when watching some of the Missouri players applaud his unsportsmanlike behavior with an umpire in the Mississippi State game, which resulted in a two-game suspension by the NCAA.”
Baker is the wife of Louisville assistant coach Jay Miller, who was Mizzou's head coach from 1987-2002. MU fired Miller after the 2002 season.
