Congrats men and women's basketball for going 1-0 yesterday.
It's Military Appreciation Day this Saturday. They will wear a patch to honor the branches of the military.
Apologize for the sideline behavior of last week's game. He basically is apologizing for a lot of cursing.
He even apologized to the officials for it.
First time since in over 40 years that two top 16 teams will play at Faurot Field.
He thinks UT is playing its best ball right now. Offense and defense is flowing for Vols.
Mindset is about being 1-0. "We have a lot left to play for starting with playing for each other."
Need to be technical and tactical on the things they need to improve.
UT has No. 1 run offense and defense. Last year, teams couldn't defend the pass and now its hard to stop.
The RB trio is elite. Mizzou needs to maintain gap control and stuffing the run.
Gives Harrison Mevis flowers for being the team's all-time leading scorer.
Have got to play complementary football. All three phases of the ball has to pick up.
"The pressure UT puts on you is they can sore so fast."
Thinks defense has been stout against the run except vs LSU and the first quarter vs. Kentucky.
The challenge vs UT is playing the run but not over-committing to it.
Takeaways from UGA game was mostly not playing complementary football. Not scoring TDs in the red zone and not tackling well. They ran the ball well but the turnovers were the demise.
Also, thinks the kickoff coverage needs to be better.
Mevis hasn't been kicking many touchbacks. Said any opportunity to take away an opportunity for opponents to score
Blake Craig may start being kickoff specialist.
Brady after a loss is mentally and physically tough. He's handled plenty of adversity. It's just another step forward. He understands he will get to much praise and too much blame.
Everyone involved in that first INT wishes they could have that playback.
Said they have a fair catch rule and the Speedy Johnson kickoff was on him.
UT is top 10 in TFLs and sacks. He said it starts with the defensive line. They like to bring pressure and bring multiple players. They like to play vertically.
UT DE James Pearce provides a lot of position flexibility. He has seven sacks on the season.
LB Chad Bailey is OUT for the rest of the season with that core injury. He will help coach the linebackers and continue being a leader. Also, will be getting a second opinion.
DT Realus George is questionable. Luther Burden is questionable. Cook, Schrader Theo Wease and Ennis Rakestraw are probable.
Most worried about George and Burden.
Theo Wease had a couple of contested catches when the ball was snapped early so they didn't run a play but Wease was smart and good enough to just make plays.
The reality of it is you're going to face a couple of losses in your career. So, the team has to shake off the UGA loss. "It's not like the expectation of this team is if we don't win every game we're failures."
Probably didn't play enough wide receivers in the game vs UGA. Nothing against the WRs, but wanted to just ride the guys they had out there at WR.
Appreciates the fans for the four straight sell-out games. "Hopefully, it's just the beginning."
The disconcerting signals penalty on Ty'Ron Hopper was because the d-line was in the wrong front and it was very loud. SO, naturally he clapped. But it wasn't to mess with the other team. What other way can you signal the defense if you can't clap and no one can hear you?
If the offense goes on the clap then that is a disconcerting signal. But the offense can only choose to protect one signal. Not both. Drink kind of hinted that there are some flaws and loopholes in the penalty.
