Game is sold out. He thanks fans for continued support.
South Carolina is better than what their record shows. They've played one of the harder schedules in the SEC.
Called Spencer Rattler a premier QB playing at a high level and Xavier Legette a complete WR.
He said SCAR does a lot of fake punts, going for two-point conversions, onsides, etc. So, that's obviously something to watch for.
Missouri can't be an emotional driven team. Said the team has to ignore the praise it receives on social media.
Mizzou didn't play well in a lot of areas. Didn't play run well vs UK and get off to a good start. Offense didn't get off to a good start and had a turnover and settled for FGs. Special teams had a blocked FG.
Did mention he is happy with a lot of things that happened in the UK game but that the team has to improve.
It's hard to play a complete game. Can only remember 2-3 games in his HC career that a team played a complete game.
LBs have a lot of things to improve on. Gap integrity has been messed up. UK presented some challenges in the gap scheme last week. He's happy with Ty'Ron Hopper.
Chad Bailey is OUT this week with core injury. Ennis Rakestraw is questionable. Cody Schrader will be questionable. He didn't finish the UK game.
Third down will be big on both sides of the ball. The defense was good with getting four-man pressure and that the havoc rate was where it needed to be for the second time this season.
Brett Norfleet has to find a way to score on that one play he jokes. But he's been pleased to say the least with Norfleet.
Proud of Phillip Roche's strip-sack.
Had extra officials come through for practice last week and worked on turnovers a lot.
No specific plan to take Legette away. There's more to it than just taking him away.
Tre'Vez Johnson and Sidney Williams played more in part because he thinks Carlies and Charleston have been playing too much. He was impressed with what they were doing.
"Freshmen class has been very effective and made of the right stuff." Class wasn't ranked that high because they took so many transfers, but he knew they had a good group of freshmen.
SCAR runs a multiple offense. Outside zone with drift concepts. Thinks SCAR OC has helped Rattler. Doesn't think SCAR is married to one specific scheme. Defensively, SC is also multiple and presents things that look the same but are different. Have 3 safeties that are interchangeable. The defensive line can play odd and even front.
Proud of how guys responded to not being as explosive as they wanted to be vs. UK. Learned that there are some things the team did that they can't allow again on the road.
Burden isn't always going to have a 100-yard gain and Drink thinks he had a good game. Calls Burden the least selfish player he knows. Wasn't at all upset with the low statistical output.
