Hard for little ole me to fathom that ESPN pays $1.9 billion per year for MNF! Wow. And a fair number of those games are of no interest to me.
I guess the bottom line is Mizzou needs to continue to have a substantial down payment in hand (or reliably pledged) before breaking ground on any large facilities project. SECN money might be there, but after the next 5-7 years SEC payouts could look a whole lot different.
However, I think of the conference networks, the SECN is likely the strongest. If ESPN ever went to offer SECN directly to customers there would probably be a significant number of subscribers willing to pay a significant amount. At least more than the PAC network.
I'm just glad to be . . . in the SEC. The big12-2-2+2 can't even agree on who to ask to join as a junior member. Yuk, yuk, yuk.
