Few reasons I think Mizzou can win today

Georgia is favored by 15 points @ Mizzou tomorrow. I don't blame them. Georgia is probably the 2nd most talented team in the country. However, here is the list of reason I think Mizzou can pull off an upset tomorrow. Thread:

1. The game is in Columbia. Vegas says that’s typically worth 3 points. Every little bit matters here.

2. Mizzou has the better quarterback. Jake Fromm is awesome, but Drew Lock is being discussed as the potential #1 overall pick in the draft. Whenever you have the edge at QB, you have a chance to win the game. Just ask Johnny Manziel.

3. Mizzou’s offensive line is better than Georgia’s defensive line. UGA only has 1 sack on the season and is ranked 110th nationally in tackles for loss. They just don’t get that much penetration.

4. Mizzou has only allowed 1 sack on the season (Incredible stat: in their last 30 games, Mizzou has only allowed 30 total sacks)

5. Two years ago Mizzou was winning with 1:29 left in the game. It took a 4th and 10 touchdown pass for Georgia to win the game. And if Jmon Moore doesn’t fumble on the ensuing drive as he’s running by the safety, he scores that play and they win.

6. Drew Lock tore them up that day: 376 yards and 3 TDs. Last year He threw 4 TDs. He’s not scared of these guys. Neither is Odom. Neither is Emanuel Hall, by the way. He had 4 catches for 141 yards and 2 TDs last year he’s run by everyone since.

7. It’s an early game which is always harder on the visiting team after all of the travel. The weather is nice, which favors Mizzou’s passing game.

The last 3 here are what I think they need to do.

8. If I’m Odom, this is Drew Lock’s game to win offensively and on defense I’d dial up the craziest blitzes you’ve ever seen and blitz 75% of the time.

9. I think Mizzou needs to be +2 to +3 in the turnover margin to make this happen. Mizzou has only been +2 to better 6 of the past 40 games, but QB pressure gets turnovers, that’s why you blitz.

10. Mizzou has to be aggressive offensively, defensively, and on special teams. Come out firing. It can happen. 8 years ago Mizzou took down #1. Tomorrow they get a chance to take down #2.
