What a frustrating game on multiple levels.... But it wasn’t completely terrible. We were in the game until the last 5 minutes.

- The D played incredibly well all things considered.... 9 points were directly result of fumble return & safety. Another 7 were setup by Lock INT. Take those away those points and we gave up 17 points. When you take into account Texas starting field position was the 45 yard line, it makes the D performance even better.

- The roughing the passer call was terrible, but we did step up and hold them to 3 points on that possession.

- We had 10 tackles for loss... Very good start to Walters’s DC career.

- I loved what Ish did for this team, but Roundtree was clearly the best back tonight. 74 yards rushing and another 30 or so receiving. Wish they would have given Roundtree more carriers.

- Our receivers played like crap. Moore was ok but had drops and Johnson is what he is. A slot receiver who breaks a long one every three games but disappears otherwise. Didn’t notice Hall once. Did he play? The fact that Collins played so much says says a lot.

- Love Lock, but needs more time. You could tell he missed Heupel. Don’t under estimate not having Heupel.... It made a huge difference last night.

- As many have said, the Texas punter was the MVP of the game. He dominated field position which killed us.

- The senior class was clearly disappointing... Outside of Moore ; Ish ; Frazier ; Anthony S we really had no key contributions by the class. That “should” bode well for next year.

With the above being said, I still think we can have a really good year in ‘18 if the following occur:

1.) We hire a quality OC. Pretty obvious how important Heupel was to our success the back half of the year.

2.) The influx of WR talent is legit and can step in immediately. We have talent coming in... Key is will that be ready to step in & make contributions.

3.) Crockett comes back healthy. Roundtree and Crockett will give us tel talented running backs. Miller may be the speed back we need.

4) Elliott is as good as advertised and Antar makes an immediate contribution. Our D Tackle will be impressive. Let us play 3 man front which I thought we looked good in that set last night. We need DE’s to step up.

5.) Holmes really is a # 1 CB....

6.).Safety play steps up.
