People talk about the difficulty replacing Lock and having to change our offense. To those people I say we threw more to the tight ends and running backs this season than years past. Easier throws. We used the middle of the field. We aren't going to find anyone with Drew's arm. I get it. But you dont need a howitzer to be successful in college. You need one to be a QB in the NFL.

Drew's biggest issues IMO was knowing where to go with the ball. He made up his mind before the play quite a bit and would run it no matter the coverage.( see Emanuel Hall being completely uncovered in the endzone vs Arky and Drew not even looking at him).He also had a tough time going through his reads when his primary was covered. He got alot better towards the end of the season and actually was going through his progressions nicely.

We need a guy who understands coverages and is able to get the ball to the open man. That's half the battle. No matter what happens at QB going forward, we likely wont be able to find a guy that could make some of the incredible throws Drew made. Hopefully we can find a guy able to attack defenses better by understanding coverages and identifying the open man.
