1. That one's not explainable. Florida, okay. LSU, okay. The talent is down. It's not this far down. You can't lose that game. Period. Really, that's the only thing that needs to be said. But it's called first five so I'll come up with four more.
2. The only way to make this worse than losing is to have a bunch of guys hurt. By the reaction, I've got to think Michael Scherer is done for the season. That's a shame.
3. The offense looked good. But Middle Tennessee can't play defense. And when it counted, the offense didn't get it done. I said before the game no matter how many points or yards they had I wouldn't declare anything fixed offensively. And I won't.
4. You get a pass in year one. But not for being this bad. Missouri did a lot of stupid, undisciplined things today. That falls on the coaching staff. They get their share of blame too.
5. Last week, I said I hadn't heard of a locker room fracture or anything. I think that's about to change. You lose this game, it's coming off the tracks. Whether it will happen publicly or not, I have no idea. But this thing's a five-week death march now...and will happen in front of very few fans in the seats.
