Well, that was ugly to say the least. I was at the game and couldn't help but to really question the defensive coaching/ talent on the field. South Carolina beat our defense by getting the ball to the perimeter quickly and getting 5-6 yards a pop. Mizzou tried to adjust and SC just started pounding it between the tackles. I think it's easy to watch the games and question the level of talent but the coaching does nothing to help. The defense takes terrible angles, plays confused and is extremely poor tackling but the biggest issue on this defense is the inept play from the LB's. Our LB's are so weak it's hard to watch. I'm still holding out hope that we improve enough to at least be excited for next season but I'm starting to feel like next season is a lost cause with this staff. I wouldn't say Barry is on the hot seat quite yet, and find it hard to imagine him losing his job after year 2. However, major changes are needed and some position coaches have gotta go.
