Well last night social media showed how much power it has. This was basically a social media shitstorm. No credible threats, besides a psycho walking around speakers circle, but social media paints the campus to be a KKK rally. Sad that people can cause such a raucous by typing a few sentences and hitting "tweet" or "post". Then you have the students who post "pray for Mizzou" even though nothing has been verified or confirmed, they have just as much blame as the people spreading rumors.
2 of my 3 grad classes are cancelled. I can't get over how much it's pissing me off. Mini rant over. Thinking of deleting all my social media now.
