Let the facts tell you something different.
We keep hearing that GP is not putting Lock in enough and he is blindly sticking with Mauk.
When is the last time a true Freshman got as meaning full snaps and series as Lock has this year. In years past it was one series in the first half and maybe another if we were up by 20 in the second. Sometimes not even that. Never have you see them come our passing on most of the downs with the new kid.
HCGP has not only put Lock in more than that but has put him in when the game was on the line. To my recollection I don't remember him doing that with Chase, Gabbert, Franklin or Mauk. Beyond that he may not have even played any of those guys in conference play unless it was for a situation (Franklin in a wildcat). Even in 2013 when Maty had to start the 4 games he had very little time on the field prior to UGA.
Pinkel, as he always does, is doing it HIS way and not to our satisfaction but he is doing more with Lock than he ever has with any other Freshman or RS Freshman. This may not be a great year but GP does not make decisions for the short term.
