just saw where he died. The 50s and 60s may have seen the greatest collection of talent in baseball ever. Somewhat makes sense with the influx of black players into the game.

FR may have been the most underrated superstar of that era. Great great ball player who became the first black manager in MLB. It's often said Bob Gibson was the toughest competitor of that era but Robinson wouldn't be far behind. The NL use to put an All Star OF together of Aaron, Mays, Clemente and Robinson. It's amazing to think one of those guys would be on the bench. Hint-It was never Willie Mays.
