Since Mizzou moved on from Odom, I've kept eyes on some of the forums (hogville and theterritory) to see what the scuttlebutt around Arky and FSU is in terms of coaches.
Arkansas: Their fans are all in on Kiffin. I mean, that's their option A, B, C and D. HOWEVER, there's rumors that a portion of big hitting donors don't want him. Rumors are that the AD and Kiffin had seen eye to eye and the deal was all but done, only to be halted by this group.
Who else has been getting traction? Butch freaking Davis. Go figure. Not sure why, but he's who some donors are really pushing for.
Arkansas fans do want Mike Norvell but assume he's going to FSU and feel kind of like Mizzou that he'd be a great get but unlikely at this point.
Florida State: Their AD has been targeting Mike Norvell and he appears to be the AD's #1 target. HOWEVER, quite a few posters on their forums are actually not impressed. I was surprised to find that there's a fair amount of opposition to the name.
Who are the FSU fans pining over?
