Hope you can provide some input after the scrimmage on a couple of topics:
1. Nate Howard - I know he's listed at 6'4" and 230 but in looking at his video, interviews and pictures I have a hard time believing that kid isn't closer to 240 or 250 (I know pictures are deceiving). He looks more than big enough to play DE this year if he has the ability. Would be interested if he sees any time with the number 2 DL. In a 4/3 MU still looks like they need another player to step up and provide depth at DE. If Brady and Harris are starting DE's it would help if Frazier and Howard are capable of playing 2nd team DE to provide depth and rotation.
2. Cuellar - Ricker said he's good enough to start somewhere on OL. Will be curious to hear where he lines up. If it's LT and he plays well then the question has to be why wouldn't you move McGovern back to Guard. Why would you move McGovern to LT and Cuellar to Guard - why not leave them in positions that they are familiar with and have experienced success with in the past. Henson and Ricker know a lot more about OL play than I do but the potential swap of those two players to new positions seems very odd to me. Also, a report from Thursday said MU had trouble in practice running up the middle of MU's defense. If the 1st team offense at MU can't run up the middle against Odoms number 1 DL I doubt they will have any success against Bama or Georgia up the middle. That's the reason I have always liked McGovern inside next to Boehm and the reason MU moved him back inside after the Georgia game last year.
