So Bart Torvik has a feature on his site that indicates a "game score" for every game played. The ranking, effectively, considers a variety of factors to spit out a number 1-100 (100 is perfect). Here is how Mizzou has stacked up thus far:

UCA: 81 (52nd)
ISU: 58 (140th)
Ken St.: 20 (310th)
Oregon State: 91 (14th)
KSU: 34 (229th)
Temple: 53 (157th)
UCF: 85 (39th)
UTA: 94 (5th)
ORU: 61 (131st)
Xavier: 98 (1st)
Illinois: 94 (5th)

An added bonus to that ranking system is that it allows a given team's performance in a single game (here, Mizzou) to be compared overall against all teams and basically say "Mizzou played like the X-ranked team in the country (per his analytics, similar to Pomeroy) in this game." I've added the approximate national rank for how "good" of a team Mizzou was in each of those games in parentheses.

If you keep every other team at their whole season average, but allow Mizzou to break their seasons down in two parts, here's where they'd rank as a team:

Mizzou's first 6 games: 146th
Mizzou's last 5 games: 32nd

Cliff's notes: Mizzou is playing better basketball, and numbers prove it.
