Injuries: "We think we're gonna get Russell Hansbrough back. We don't know yet until he starts practicing this week." Listed as probably. DeSean Blair is out with a concussion.

"Kentucky's a very good football team. Mark's done a great job of building that program."

"We're not just gonna start moving guys around. We don't do that...We will never panic. We won't do that."

Pinkel says it's more difficult to execute on offense than on defense because offense requires all 11 guys to execute correctly, but defense you can cover up mistakes.

Pass protection has been pretty good overall.

On Hansbrough: "When he gets back, I think he can be a huge difference."

"We didn't get the ball downfield probably as much as we wanted to." Cited the completion percentage as an improvement. Said it's easy as a fan to identify areas of the field where they should try to throw the ball more, but it's not that simple.

Says Beckner being moved up is more about what he's doing well and nothing Hatley is doing wrong.

Beckner is playing very well for being so young. Going to get a lot better than he is now.

On Anthony Hines: Kind of fell into that situation. Really good athlete, very smart. Sometimes just fortunate to hit the right guy at the right spot...Didn't necessarily expect him to be able to play this year, but picked things up fast.

On Lock: "Our plan's not going to change." Said the reason he didn't play at ASU was he had thrown an INT, whereas his first drive went well against UCONN so he played.

On the offense: "We expected a little bit more consistency."

Says things tend to mount. If you struggle one game, it can lead to struggles next time in that situation. "Hopefully we can come out of it quick. Obviously we need to."

Says he doesn't draw on last year and where they were after three weeks. "You've got to fix problems. It's frustrating when you don't get them fixed."

Last week didn't have anything to do with not being ready to play. Thinks there was a little bit of that last year early on.

Asked about being two-time defending SEC East champs: "I don't ever talk to them about that."

Told by the medical staff they think Hansbrough will be ready, but tomorrow will be a big day to see how he does and looks in practice.

Asked if he would run a 2 QB system, Pinkel says no, they believe in the system they have going now.
