Starts in 17 minutes. Will pass along info here as always.

Injuries: Hopefully will get DeSean Blair back "pretty soon." Sean Culkin (knee) out a couple weeks, Nate Crawford (ankle) out this week, Kentrell Brothers (ankle/knee) questionable, Ian Simon (head) probable.

Says there will be a number of changes if Brothers can't play.

I asked him if he's had an offense struggle for this long a period of time, Pinkel starts listing off the positives, says they're "making progress and gonna continue to work hard."

Hilton moved to receiver, thinks he's going to be a very good safety and will have the option to move back at the end of the season, but thinks he can help on offense.

Says Sherrills hurt his ankle which is part of changes at kick returner, says Penton has done a good job, but they're looking at that a little bit as well.

Asked about Mauk's shoulder, Pinkel said he's aware of it. Says it's a little bit sore, but some of the problems also have to do with fundamentals. Says he has the arm strength to hit on the deep ball, probably needs to get rid of it sooner, anticipate better.

Hopes Hansbrough improves this week. Says he hasn't gotten a lot of practice time lately. Says he feels better today than he has the last three weeks on Monday.

Asked if Mauk's dad's situation is affecting him, Pinkel says obviously it would. Says the surgery was successful. "he's a pretty focused guy and he'll never have excuses for anything."

Says they're sorting out the tight end position without Culkin, but probably will do a lot of the same things.

On Steward, there's a four week period where he can play and still apply for the medical year. His parents wanted to do that after week three. Said he rehabbed at Michigan Med School this summer and worked very hard on a "hip injury that you don't see in football very often." Said he'll rehab another full year and come back next year. Will apply for the sixth year at the end of next season.

Pinkel says Steward will have his doctorate probably by the time he is done playing at Mizzou.

Says they're prepping Ryan Williams to play, but depends really on the health of the other guys. Don't plan to play him now, but getting him ready if necessary.

Asked if Witter is comfortable having to take on so much, Pinkel says "I hope so...Duty calls." Says he and Hansbrough "are a pretty good one-two punch."

Pinkel said Brothers could be a game day decision. Calls this "the year of ankles."

Asked if there's a thought to getting the ball to Tyler Hunt more, Pinkel says "a little bit...but he has his role," says coaches know the strengths and weaknesses of every guy.

I asked Pinkel if they have as many offensive linemen ready to play as they want and he says that they haven't played as many as in the past because they have a lot of experienced guys that have played a lot and you lean on experience.

Says people ask about moving McGovern back inside, doesn't rule it out, but hardly seemed likely.

Said Boehm's ankle has "affected his play a little bit" but he's close to 100%.

Asked about developing rivalry with South Carolina, Pinkel just says "it's the next game."

Asked about not playing Lock: "It's a gut decision. That's the best way I can describe it." Sounds like that's the standard reply from here on out.
