First off, I think this is politically brilliant for both guys. They get a ton of time to be in the spot light. I think the ratings will be good. For DeSantis, it is probably the best thing his campaign has done this election cycle. It moves him back into #2 position squarely.
As for Newsome, it really sets him up to be the replacement for Biden option or the Front Runner for Dem nom in 2028.
Which is why I think this is happening. Newsome is fallign out of spot light lately as is DeSantis. Newsome sees opportunity with Biden's poll numbers falling. DeSantis is becoming desperate.
