After watching the game and looking over the box score thus morning Geist's play really stuck out (in a good way). 10 points, 6 assists (only 2 TO), and 4 rebounds in 29 minutes. If our weakest position on the floor produced like that every night we would have an amazing season.
But that's the problem right, it doesn't happen every night. Geist played 7 minutes in the bragging rights game and had 0 points, 0 assists, and 4 turnovers... Just awful. Against SFA in 19 minutes he had 6 turnovers and 3 assists, again terrible.
Cuonzo must be pulling his hair out (joke) with the PG play in general and the lack of consistency. In fairness its not just Giest, all our pg's results have been helter skelter. Is consistency learnable/coachable?
