FWIW...talked to this HS Head Coach today from the Memphis area and he gushed when I brought up the name of Coach Barry Odom.
Said he was without a doubt the best recruiter he has ever dealt with...and he has been at that HS for 22 years.
He said Coach Odom was personable, honest, thorough, and extremely genuine.
He said Barry was great at building relationships with both Coaches and players a like...and that he did a great job of recruiting the Mom's as well as the players.
He said Barry Odom was HIGHLY RESPECTED by all the HS Coaches down in his region of Tennessee.
Nothing earth shattering...but I thought it was worth sharing because some people seem to think that Odom has zero personality and is a horrible recruiter.
