The Florida game was the first Mizzou game I’ve attended in seven years. First day of deer season, cold, an 11AM start, AND a team that has flat out stunk on offense and special teams for the last month. Yet, the stadium was mostly full. The atmosphere decent.
Despite the fan support, despite the defense keeping Mizzou in the game, it NEVER felt like the Tigers could win this game. Not once.
The team’s “senior leaders” on offense make two of the most boneheaded plays in the game. A senior TE that has the talent to be an All-American gets called for a late hit. A senior QB that thinks he can play in the NFL gets an obvious intentional grounding call.
Folks, these are the team’s “leaders”.
It’s sad. These kids have no discipline. Before the game in warm ups, Florida is running drills, prepping for the game. Not Mizzou. Most of their players are dancing and listening to music.
When you’re down 13-6 to a Top 15 team and it never feels like you’re even close to winning the game, it’s time to look for a new coach.
