Just had a daughter in May... I've been following Missouri athletics hard since I was in jr high.. Kirk Farmer/Zach Abron days.. I always try to come see one football game a year and for once I want to get back to seeing at least a basketball game a year. My wife and I haven't been away from our daughter yet and so I'm planning on leaving Friday, catching the Iowa St home opener, staying in Columbia, catching the Tennessee football game Saturday, and then heading home... Anybody else planning on making the trip to Columbia to do something similar?

Few questions..
1) Any suggestions on where to buy single game tickets without breaking my bank account? My wife and I are 27/25 and are teachers so we don't make bank lol. EDIT: I Should add that I can get Mizzou football tickets free with me being a HS football coach. I've been able to call and get tickets each of the last three years.

2) Any suggestions on a good place to try to stay overnight? I know hotels will probably be crazy booked.

3) I've never ate at Shakespeare's, Booches, 44 Stone, Upper Crust, Heidelberg, Sophia's

I may or may not take my daughter along.. Going to let my wife decide.. What restaurant would you suggest if I've never ate any?.. and tell me what is best to eat if you recommend one of those spots.

We live near Cape Girardeau so this is a easy 2 day getaway getting to catch both sports and only have to stay one night.
