Tiger is back and playing/hosting the Hero World Challenge. Has played pretty well but the rust is showing. As is the fatigue. Hasn’t been able to finish either round strong. Today he had a 33-foot birdie putt at the 15th … which he putted into a bunker. Made a 14-footer for bogey.
Spieth is tied for the lead with Scheffler and today he turned in the only bogey-free round through two days. This came the day after he made five pars and shot 68. Today he hit all 13 fairways. Go figure. Golf!
Also wanted to share this story from last week. Mark Baldwin is a 39-year-old tour pro who recently made it through the first stage of Q school. In preparation for the second stage, Mickelson invited him to his place for a tuneup. Mark fell short this week, but still a cool gesture by Phil. He wrote about his weekend at Phil’s.
